1:48
all right everyone welcome back to the channel tonight part two installing the epoxy floor so now we are actually going
1:55
to be measuring and mixing it's not really any measuring you have to do but
2:02
we are going to be taking our bucket right
2:09
here and we're going to open it up um I'm actually going to move the camera
2:15
back a little bit more um wish I had a place to put the bucket
2:23
while I mix it I'll just probably do it off camera to be honest just to keep things nice
2:29
and safe um yeah but we're going to install the epoxy onto the floor in part one we went
2:37
through and we went ahead and cut um the floor to size so everything has got a
2:42
chance to lay down it's uh ready to go and now what we're going to do is mix
2:50
the epoxy so inside this bucket um I'll take photos of this we'll probably put a
2:56
whole blog post together but this you open it up and there's like a seal ring
3:03
that you peel out and there's already one part in the bucket and on top sitting there is the part
3:10
two you part pour part one into part two and then you mix it up now here's
3:16
where here's where I had uh a new insight to this whole thing um I've done
3:24
this a couple times and I was really trying to understand the pot life and uh
3:30
the curing time and all that good stuff and so what I was trying to figure out is what is in the super fine print down
3:36
here at the bottom and it's the difference between the open time and working time and I've always said the open time is the time that you have to
3:44
actually work with it before putting the lawn sill down that's still accurate
3:50
however if we go down and actually read what open time means it's the uh it's
3:57
the waiting time required before placing the floor into this adhesive so we can actually mix this
4:05
up and then start applying it so mix it up for just a couple minutes instead of
4:11
let it sit in the bucket for 15 um we mix it up for just a couple minutes like maybe five minutes and we can go ahead
4:18
and start applying it to one side but we have to wait up to the 15minute mark to actually roll the epoxy I mean roll the
4:26
lawn seill into the epoxy that was my misunderstanding um so it gives us
4:33
uh um we have 10 more minutes to work with it it does it doesn't really make that
4:39
much of a difference but uh that's a lot better um because now if instead of having 7 minutes per side if we can bump
4:46
it up to about 10 uh minutes per side that's that's
4:51
that's a little bit um less stressful um so I'm going to do a quick walk around I'm going to check all of my
4:58
areas make sure I don't need to cut anything I'm going roll the epoxy over I'm going to just blow this out with
5:06
a uh electric blower just one more time get the dust off we'll open this up we'll start mixing it and we will start
5:13
applying it and we're going to be applying it with this thing called a u Notch TR so these little Cuts in here
5:21
little U's and it's a specific length so basically what we have is this is what
5:26
we're going to use to spread the epoxy on and then you want to do like a final
5:32
pass uh before going to the next section and what it does is it kind of gives it like this spaghetti look and then the
5:37
epoxy will settle back down into a level surface but this is um measuring the
5:44
amount of epoxy because you don't want a Big Blob of epoxy and then a fewer side of epoxy and then have like these uh
5:52
weird places in the floor so uh using a un Notch trout and
5:57
you can buy that all as a one product off their website um we're going to be
6:03
ran out of gloves so we got a new box of Venom steel these are from Lowe's
6:08
they're my favorite Nitro gloves and they're kind kind of from my
6:14
automotive shop uh C days but they're awesome
6:20
they're super super tough and so I use a bunch of these if I get some epoxy I just take them off so we got that and
6:28
then last but not least we have have our one gon uh paint mixer so this is going
6:34
to be a th throwaway you're not going to be able to reuse this because of the epoxy but it's only six bucks at Lowe's
6:40
and uh we're put in our drill and this will make sure we get a really good mix
6:46
on our epoxy we do not want to in introduce air into the mix um that
6:53
increases all right so that decreases the pot life pot life is basically the amount of time that you're that's the
6:58
workable time to work with epoxy so that decreases it and then the longer you
7:04
keep the epoxy in the bucket also decreases the time so that's why as soon as we mix it we want to get uh most of
7:11
it on we want to get half of it on this side and start working with it and then get the other half on this side
7:19
um but uh that is the plan so I'm going to go in here and just double check that I don't
7:27
have any um clean up my
7:35
shoes I'm just going to go and check all these cuts that I made because
7:42
I don't want anything uh I don't want the floor to
7:50
resist going into a certain spot of the van
7:58
um
8:19
um so this wire uh I'm going go ahead and cut a little part of the uh lawn seal off
8:28
because I don't want that wire picking the uh
8:34
Lono up you really want it to lay down flat um because it's going to be curing
8:40
as soon as you get things
8:45
going so let's just see if we can do a little
8:52
45 all right so we need to do a little bit more than
8:58
that
9:11
all right so that'll work now we just need to get some masking tape to hold it
9:20
back while we do our thing okay so that's all laying down nice and even nothing is holding it
9:28
up
9:33
looking
9:41
good see we'll cut a little 45
9:50
here okay oh so this area is
9:57
touching so we don't want the to
10:21
touch okay
10:28
good okay let's blow out some dust flip one
10:35
side over and we can get
10:42
[Applause]
10:58
started
11:09
so if you have a little bit of resistance you want to go back to that section with the resistance and fix it
11:15
because it will it will tear um if it snags on
11:23
something it's strong but it's not it's not strong in that
11:37
way so we will Begin by putting our epoxy on the left side and if you guys
11:45
remember we have uh those screws in the front and
11:50
the back and that gives us our halfway
11:56
point and then there's a line that we drew down the middle and that line is
12:05
going to let give us a reference for where we need to stop uh putting down our
12:10
epoxy and we're actually going to make sure we get some epoxy
12:18
um uh let me take that back that line we put the epoxy right up to
12:25
it right up against that line and then we're going to roll this over once this
12:31
is rolled over we can take our screws out and um because this will be laid
12:39
down and secure we'll take our screws out and then that way we can fold the right section we we go back a little
12:47
like about an inch or two more and that will expose that epoxy and then that will be we will can do a continuation
12:53
from that epoxy that is the best way in my opinion to not have bu
13:00
or air pockets in here when you when you do this whole
13:05
process um all right good we got some people watching the live
13:11
stream let me check my audio that is the best way okay sounds
13:18
pretty good all right so
13:23
now just take our air and we'll just blow gently down here just
13:36
to there we go sure we don't have any little things sticking up uh now something that I saw
13:44
is I had a couple pieces of uh lawn seal that I had cut on the
13:52
front left and if I had not cleaned it up they would have made a little
14:01
so that part is solved um all right you
14:06
won't see this mixing but it's going to happen right underneath the camera and we'll get all this
14:15
prepped um I forgot to I'm going to use some of this craft
14:22
paper that they that they pack this with and I'm going to tape it on the
14:28
bumper cuz if it's going to ooze it can ooze
14:36
anywhere uh except the bumper the bumper we do not want it to
14:42
ooze on the bumper everywhere else in the van is safe because we won't see it won't be a
14:58
problem
15:24
[Applause] no
15:34
also our 100 PB roller I have it on the floor um and I have cleaned the
15:42
wheels because the wheels are used by construction companies and if you don't take a Brill pad and kind of scrub down
15:49
the wheel degrease it and everything it's going to be rolling on this nice brand new
15:56
four and you don't want it to the floor up
16:01
obviously so whether you get from Home Depot or wherever you get it you're going to have to really take take the
16:08
time to clean it
16:27
up
16:58
so the requirements are 24 hours cure time for foot
17:04
traffic uh 72 hours for um for sitting anything on it so if you wanted to put a
17:12
kitchen Galley or start doing that procedure uh you would need to wait 72
17:18
hours to before that
17:27
happen
17:49
okay there we go so let's see
17:57
here and definitely don't skip on getting the epoxy on the sides um I had
18:03
an issue back here um where this back part is the tightly
18:12
rolled part of the Roll so it wants to curl more and you really need to make
18:17
sure you don't skip out on the epoxy over here and scrape too much much of it off and you just really get that on here
18:26
um that's really V that you do that CU that hump the only thing that's holding
18:32
that hump down is the floor so what we'll do is when we're done um that piece of wood that we
18:41
cut when we clamp the floor down we'll just set a little we'll put a little bit of weight on
18:52
that uh after we roll it so just something here just to kind of help that
18:58
weight down now we're going to not anything super heavy just
19:04
uh a little bit um all right let's see let's go
19:11
ahead and get all of our stuff prepped we have our un not St got some
19:18
tape um we got our razor blade if we need to cut
19:24
anything we have our gloves
19:31
we've got our epoxy and we're definitely going to go
19:37
be uh take our shoes off before we get inside and do the
19:42
van um I've got a broom just in case I get some dust in
19:48
there and then let's see last but not least we need a
19:57
drill okay now I need a new
20:15
battery okay this is that is the this toolkit we're going to be using we're
20:22
going to be will pour a line of the epoxy out um enough to where we can work with
20:29
it I do leave some in the bucket obviously I'm not going to pour the whole thing over the floor I I've seen
20:35
some people do that uh that's just uh to me that seems to be kind of a
20:41
mess um hold on I'm just feeling a piece of lawn sill here that is little
20:55
tight yeah if you feel something tight over over here you should knock it out
21:01
as soon as
21:08
possible now one thing I won't be doing is I will stop the epoxy about a half an
21:15
inch from this carpeted Edge because I don't want to squeeze it into the carpet
21:22
um but that's not going to affect the adhesion of the rest of the floor it'll still hold it down
21:31
um so CU When we do the if you do a stop at
21:36
a/ inch when we do the roller it's going to squeeze it into the carpet anyway I just don't want a lot I don't want it to come up through
21:42
the carpet is what I'm saying all right so that feels good
21:48
let's check this side well if it needs help we'll we'll fix it that's why we got our tools
21:54
out all right so let's move what we're not using
22:00
this is going to we're take this and put it the
22:06
front so we got our knee pad over here got this up here at
22:14
front so we're going to open up our can um I can tilt the camera down it'll
22:20
be all right there you
22:27
go
22:42
that's right epoxy time it's no time like the
22:48
present uh see if we can get see if we can get a little lazy
22:57
here there we that's
23:03
nice all right so be careful when you open this
23:09
up uh I am crossing my fingers that this is good I got one of these uh a while back
23:17
and I had it to stop and I had to wait order another one so it delayed everything like a
23:23
week um so let's cross our fingers that this is
23:29
not like the other one was um okay that's good
23:36
so what I'm talking about is the other one had a little bit somebody had dropped it and shipping really hard and
23:42
it had broken this so there's an inner you guys can see there's an inner seal
23:47
here and this inner seal is about 6 in long it just goes right in there so this
23:54
is our part B that we're going to pour into here at we're going to pour in every last drop so we're actually going
24:00
to pour this out we'll mix and then we'll actually close the lid and then keep this upside down so we get every
24:08
single drop um epoxy is very finicky with the mixing ratio so you just need
24:14
to make sure it is so perfectly right um okay so now you see this so you can
24:23
see that uh down here there's no seal broken there's no seal broke around here
24:30
um first time I did this I actually I poured this and this into its own mixing bucket I'm not sure why I did that this
24:37
this is your mixing bucket um I will get my
24:43
phone cu the thing with epoxy is it's all about timing it's all about
24:52
timing all right so I can see you guys on the computer um I will have to answer
24:58
your questions after this process is done um fun thing about this process is
25:04
it can only take it can only take 30 minutes that's it if you mess up
25:09
then there's no messing up let's just say that we're not even going to it's
25:16
not even a consideration all right
25:21
um get some gloves on just in
25:27
case
25:33
I will get some Rags just need to wipe any stuff so we
25:40
got a bunch of microfiber cloth here now this is I'm telling you the
25:47
whole thing so you guys there's really no reason that you there's nothing to hide uh as far as the process goes so
25:54
what I'm going to do is I'm going to mix it I'll take the bucket up there I'll pour out um and I don't really care if
26:01
the bucket is dripping down on the floor while I'm working somewhere don't care because I'm going to pour it out make a
26:07
mess again bring it back down and then I'm going to bring it from there to here and it's going to drip
26:14
onto here I'm G pull the carpet over move it and then fold this over and then
26:20
go back to that so I'm not going to be concerned about cleaning the bucket up after I poured off the uh pour the edge
26:26
off of of it because this is what you can risk doing is these towels and stuff let's just say
26:33
you go to wipe it and then like you get like fuzz or something into the epoxy I don't
26:38
know I could be overdoing it but
26:45
uh let's just get to doing some epoxy all right so here is our lid
26:52
um see I wish I had some I need a scraper cuz I'm I'm going to scrape some
26:57
of that down down actually I'm just going to
27:03
use use a piece of lawn seal itself so it's important that we get
27:10
every single bit so see how much that is because this is
27:16
a obviously a chemical process
27:22
and every drop matters on the epoxy
27:54
so you can see I mean it's it's considerable with is smash on the sides
28:00
all right so we don't need this but I'm just going to turn it upside down so I get all over my
28:05
floor next step is taking our second part um now this is where everything
28:12
needs to be ready can't go back after this we got 30 minutes okay so we're
28:18
going to see how long it takes us to mix this and then as soon as we're done mixing it for about 5
28:24
minutes um we're just going to get started we're going to start spreading doing all our good stuff
28:31
everything is prepped ready to go and uh yeah we're ready to go um I may not
28:38
be able to touch the camera after this so I'm going to go ahead and reposition the camera to the
28:50
top okay and let's see everything's set good
28:58
to go all right let's do some
29:05
epoxy okay so we're going to set my phone over here and we're
29:23
gonna let me open this up first
29:57
for
30:19
all right H and start on the timer and we are putting this in here we did the
30:25
whole bottle
30:43
okay so I'm going to stop for a second I put the lid back on and then I'm going to turn the bottle upside down to let it
30:51
kind of ooze and then I'm going to start mixing remember we do not want to have
30:57
uh any air bubbles in here so put your put it in here and then
31:03
start uh
31:26
spinning we're doing this for five minutes so I can but see I just poured the two-part
31:34
on [Music]
31:56
top
32:27
[Music]
32:38
[Music]
32:49
there we go now it's starting to
32:56
blend
33:05
oh perfect so that's what you want it to look like you want it to look like a homogeneous
33:16
mixture those big bubbles they'll come
33:25
out so where are we we got three minutes let's go two more
33:31
[Music]
33:46
minutes and some of it kind of floats to the top on these
33:51
edges this we just want to break that
33:56
up
34:08
all right so I'm going to use this bucket here I'm going flip it upside down look at
34:15
that I'm going slowly get this thing out of
34:26
here
34:39
all right trying not to make a mess mixing is done yeah there's quite a bit of epoxy
34:47
there all right you done dripping all right that's all we get now
34:55
we're at 4 minutes and 34 seconds let's bring the camera up and get to
35:09
work okay so I'm going to come in here I remember I told you to have epoxy
35:16
pants um actually hold on guys I forgot to get the rest of
35:24
this adhesive in here maybe fix it for one more
35:36
[Music]
35:47
[Music]
35:56
minute
36:33
[Music]
36:45
okay all right so we lost Let's see we lost a minute and a
36:50
half that's all right so now what we're going to do is come over here and we're just going to
36:56
pour epoxy over here just like
37:03
this and we'll see if we need any more uh while we're
37:09
going here and now what's going to happen is the epoxy is going to get progressively
37:15
harder to work with so keep in mind that as you're
37:21
doing this it's going to get hard
37:28
harder to
37:36
spread so we're just going to kind of push it
37:43
in and you can use a smaller side to do this uh push in method and you'll see this as I get more
37:50
towards the
37:56
back
38:21
yeah but these Corner areas up here
38:28
definitely want to make sure you have enough epoxy in these Corners CU
38:35
epoxy I know it sounds redundant but I mean it is it is what is going to be sucking this down to the
38:42
floor um nothing else will
38:53
so just be mindful where you put your hands so you're not
39:19
so if you see I just tried to actually go up and hold myself up against the upholstered wall no can't do
39:26
that which you'll kind of get in a rush cuz
39:32
you know you're worried on time and I'm not saying don't be worried on time but
39:38
don't sacrifice your your upholstery job
39:47
to to
39:56
this
40:31
I mean I guess it's kind of like tiling
40:37
but it's like tiling if tiling had a
40:44
really big time uh hard time
40:50
limit all right so now I'm going to come up here and make sure I got my epoxy in
40:59
uh my groove over here if you guys remember um down in this channel
41:06
area and any of these big spots need
41:16
to get those
41:26
down [Music]
41:52
also be careful there's a couple times that I might accidentally stab the lawn seal
41:58
because just trying to get everything even um let's see up here let's
42:05
just get this spot this SP right here is a little
42:12
little
42:26
high
42:34
and it looks like I'm going have to roll the carpet I mean the Lao back just a little bit
42:56
more
43:07
okay cuz I didn't get as much I didn't get as much under there as
43:13
I wanted
43:20
to another thing I'm doing is I'm kind of scraping it into the
43:26
wood makes it kind of makes it stick really
43:42
well and if you have some come over the edges don't worry about that only place that matters is back
43:50
here in the back area um so we're looking good over
43:55
here uh we need to even this
44:09
out uh I'm going to leave
44:26
that
44:56
for
45:07
[Music]
45:22
there's a little spot right here
45:37
all
45:55
right okay it's gonna drip onto our Lono over here that's that's
46:03
okay all right we're at 15 minutes so technically now is when we could
46:10
be rolling over the
46:18
uh the lawn seal onto this epoxy which is pretty exciting cuz in
46:24
the past I waited till this point to actually start doing the AP foxy so um what's exciting is I'm actually
46:31
going to have enough time to uh enjoy doing the other
46:55
side yeah just look at these places where uh when you do the scrape it kind
47:02
of goes back to like the
47:08
raw wood underneath that just means you take a
47:15
little too much
47:25
off
47:38
yeah just remember about these Corners don't get them so I'm
47:45
actually I'm coming off a quarter of an inch from these these Corners going a little bit closer than I said I
47:55
would
48:14
all right so let's get done over here we need to move to the other side we've got 17
48:22
minutes so we've got until 30 minutes until we can really stop scraping this
48:29
on all right here's that here's that back section I was telling you is really important so really make sure that this back
48:40
side this Edge is is done
48:46
well okay so now we might actually have
48:55
to we mov sing this excess back into the
49:10
bucket it's looking really good we're doing good on this one so
49:17
we're just going to come
49:25
here right there there's that mess that we said we're going to make it's
49:31
okay just like that all
49:36
right let's put our excess back in here all right now it's time to roll it
49:44
over and we're going to try to do this with no air bubbles now I do
49:51
see um let's see here
49:58
so we got one two that was
50:04
strange okay let's do this 20 minutes we got 10 minutes to do
50:11
the other side
50:25
so
50:35
all right here we go got a little bit of fuzz on here but
50:40
that's okay all right so see we're going to
50:46
roll this on just like that just going to do it nice and
50:55
slow
51:27
okay this is the part where it's possible to get air bubble is when it slaps over and you're not controlling
51:34
how it falls over so we just need to keep it
51:46
rolling okay I'm going to try not to use my knees because of what happened the other
51:55
time yeah so now all
52:01
right all right we're not going to mess with that we'll come back mess with it when we have the
52:07
roller um so now we need to uh take out the
52:25
screws [Music]
52:36
okay we need to roll our floor
52:43
over it's going to get caught on stuff up here all right roll it over until we
52:51
expose the epoxy there we go
52:58
all
53:07
right now we got the second half we're going to pour pretty
53:13
much all this
53:25
out it's going to help us with
53:31
uh this stuff uh curing too fast which we're almost already there because
53:38
of uh we didn't really waste time but now we we're we're back to like the seven
53:44
minutes that I had the last time now you still have time to work
53:51
with this the thing is the way it feels to work with it is like now instead of
53:58
this fun kind of loose stuff that is
54:03
uh it was like thinner than glue see now it's starting to actually
54:08
turn it's a cur it's curing so it's just
54:15
uh harder to [Music]
54:25
spread
54:44
okay and this area is I mean they're all important but definitely where you're
54:49
walking in and out of the van just make sure that this one is
54:57
it's really
55:25
good
59:55
right guys we got got 30 seconds you see
1:00:02
why when you go by the book Numbers it's uh definitely be
1:00:24
stressful
1:00:45
the harder part about when it gets thicker is it doesn't it doesn't level out as fast as
1:00:50
you want it to to see if you put too much down
1:00:57
so that's the downside of having to rush
1:01:04
the second side is by the time you get to the end
1:01:11
if you needed to go back and see if something got too much on it makes it really really hard to go
1:01:24
back
1:01:38
but we're still making sure we do it right as we go even though we've we're a minute and a half over our
1:01:54
time
1:02:12
I'm really making sure I don't have a bump underneath my
1:02:19
uh transition from side one to side
1:02:24
two
1:02:47
so you see you get out and then there's a line that you got to go back
1:02:52
and got to handle it
1:02:58
[Music]
1:03:26
all right we're in the home
1:03:32
stretch pretty much the only thing we're going to need is to make sure we have our bucket so we
1:03:38
can uh get the excess back into the
1:03:54
bucket
1:04:47
all right so now you may want to rush as you get towards the end here don't do
1:04:52
that cuz you're going to take a hand that's got like some oxy on it and you're going to grab your freshly
1:05:02
upholstered side it's going to be
1:05:08
bad
1:05:24
okay
1:05:35
got this weird corner back here I can't really get any epoxy
1:05:53
into there we go all right now we are just cleaning
1:06:00
up removing excess
1:06:23
epoxy now I should have tape this hole off where we're uh going into
1:06:32
our lift but I'm going to be very careful I'm not going to get too much
1:06:38
epoxy on there and we're going to be all
1:06:54
right
1:07:01
okay do we miss
1:07:07
anything all right 36 minutes we got to get
1:07:13
the we did it but we got to we got to roll this out right
1:07:19
now that is a workout
1:07:28
oh got to go easy all right let's go ahead and
1:07:53
roll okay don't let this flap flap flop
1:08:03
over on this back side it's okay it'll be okay on the
1:08:09
front it's more gradual up
1:08:14
there
1:08:24
okay okay so we're still going to go from the back and come up to the front so on our
1:08:31
hands and knees we can just we'll know immediately if we have a
1:08:38
uh an air bubble
1:08:43
issue and sorry I look like Spider-Man I don't I have no idea how else to
1:08:51
uh run on a freshly epoxied floor
1:08:57
okay remember this backs side we got to give it some attention here in a little
1:09:18
bit so you see knock on wood but I really don't feel
1:09:26
like I have any air issues on the floor okay so I've got these dimples where my
1:09:31
knees and feet were so the next step is to get the
1:09:39
roller and get this rolled out but yeah if you made it this far
1:09:46
give yourself a pound in the back this is a it's it's a tough job because it's has
1:09:52
to be done right the first time okay let's see
1:10:04
here 40 minutes let's get a
1:10:24
roller
1:10:31
have to bump the camera out of the
1:10:38
[Applause] way okay the question is how to get
1:10:46
this all right sorry guys camera's
1:10:54
gone
1:11:02
okay this thing is so
1:11:24
heavy all right we've gone through this roller
1:11:31
uh okay hopefully that will save balance and I can fix
1:11:46
this there we go hold on it's going to go
1:11:54
crazy
1:12:02
okay starting in the middle and then we are going to the outside and we just need to
1:12:10
make sure we remember where all of our stuff is going to basically squirt
1:12:16
all our epoxy is going to squirt out from here um I would recommend when you get
1:12:23
to this point you get somebody to help you
1:12:35
uh um let's see
1:12:54
here
1:13:02
all right you guys are going to laugh but uh that sock we're taking our socks off
1:13:11
because got a little epoxy on our sock so I'm sorry for the bare feet
1:13:17
but there's no
1:13:24
time I guess I could have
1:13:37
uh lubricated this a little bit we're starting from the inside and
1:13:44
we're going towards the
1:13:51
outside and and you'll hear it too I can actually already hear a lot of the air bubbles uh coming
1:14:01
out now just make sure that you don't go off the
1:14:09
end once we do left to uh front to back we'll do left to
1:14:24
right
1:14:40
yeah I never thought socks would be a backup plan in case you got epoxy on it CU i' I've done this before in my
1:14:46
shoes and uh and then if shoes got epoxy on it I just took the shoes off but took the
1:14:53
shoes off on this one and so didn't have a backup
1:15:02
plan I don't really care as long as you guys don't
1:15:10
care trust me when you're at this point in your epoxy rolling you're going to want to make sure that you got all the
1:15:17
tips because uh this thing
1:15:23
is and I'm being careful to gently roll
1:15:29
this because even though I went and I clean the
1:15:35
roller and I got everything in the roller sanded down there's still some
1:15:41
Nicks on it and if it's rolling it's fine if it's
1:15:47
stationary um not so
1:15:53
much
1:16:19
[Music]
1:16:39
and when I'm rolling in these Corners I got to really make sure that a drip of epoxy is not coming back up on the
1:16:46
rollers um cuz that really is uh something you do not want to have
1:16:53
happen
1:17:29
[Music]
1:17:42
okay now we're going to go back uh we going to go back pretty slow on this
1:17:53
one
1:18:16
okay so I'm going come over here I'm going hop off
1:18:21
uh get a pair of clean shoes cuz I need to this for a
1:18:32
while me get some clean shoes I'll be right
1:18:53
back
1:19:04
the Barefoot van Builder guess you could that sounds like
1:19:09
a YouTube channel
1:19:18
right you don't really want to do it Barefoot cuz technically over
1:19:23
time GNA put a bunch of uh divots in the floor that you can't
1:19:30
roll out
1:19:38
so okay got a good wiping of her foot
1:19:46
off all right
1:19:53
now
1:20:04
all right here we go so now we're going to
1:20:11
change
1:20:16
[Music]
1:20:23
directions
1:20:31
[Music]
1:20:42
now if you have this floor system like I have I have it supported with uh a bunch of 2x4s and some bamboo
1:20:52
uh uh Pieces Just to to take up the Gap and so you see how I'm I can go all the
1:20:58
way on the edge if you did this with this uh 100 lb
1:21:04
roller um unassisted with that support uh it would not be good
1:21:11
so just need to make sure that that corner over there has got
1:21:16
support um because ABC doesn't sell a support they just uh instruct you to
1:21:25
support it with some wood blocks it doesn't need to be a visual thing it just needs to be a
1:21:32
uh a a structural
1:21:40
thing all right so here you we can really hear we're getting closer to this
1:21:47
Edge we can really hear this thing uh squeeze out um
1:21:57
he just squeezing out the
1:22:05
uh and we want to keep this rolling we don't want this to ever don't
1:22:11
ever have it stop rolling in a
1:22:23
spot
1:22:53
that
1:23:30
[Music]
1:23:36
there we go got a air little air bubble on the very edge that's was
1:23:53
good
1:24:05
[Music]
1:24:19
[Music] and we'll do a time lapse later if you guys don't want to listen to the
1:24:26
uh squeaking I know that's like not the
1:24:32
best all right we're coming back here to this back section so really want to make sure we get a
1:24:38
good a really good seal it's possible that we did a good epoxy job and this thing is really going
1:24:46
to want to secure down on this back
1:24:53
side so I just heard that little snap
1:25:01
crackle yep that's what we're looking for that's that sound right
1:25:12
there okay so we're going to come and we'll probably cut
1:25:18
this in a minute um but now we're going to go do our last front to back back and last
1:25:25
left to right we're going to call it call it a
1:25:39
[Music]
1:25:53
night
1:26:53
in
1:27:46
[Music]
1:29:02
[Music] yeah we'll definitely have to roll this uh this back section quite a
1:29:08
bit just cuz it's that set section it just wasn't want
1:29:16
to that is heavy all right let's close this out
1:29:23
guys all right do not walk stand sit kneel
1:29:29
hang out here when you get done even though you just did it and you're excited because you're going to get that
1:29:36
uh that little floor dimple thing happening and yeah you don't want that
1:29:42
at all and then you do want to go around
1:29:53
um all these Ed
1:30:00
edges make sure you push them in because they haven't got any love from the roller they haven't
1:30:08
been pushed down but just keep thinking to yourself that there's a big a big liquid under
1:30:13
here and the roller will get it nice and even Under Pressure but if you put your
1:30:19
hand in one spot um believe it or not you'll actually
1:30:25
feel uh where your hand was so yeah we just want to make sure
1:30:33
that uh we don't have that happen um so underneath here it looks really good I'm
1:30:40
not going to uh touch this backside as far as
1:30:45
cutting it until it uh cures a little bit more so we
1:30:51
are um the two 3 hour mark is where we got to come back and do
1:30:56
this so we're at the 1 hour mark right
1:31:01
now so um another hour I'll come and hit
1:31:08
this so so probably 11:30 and I'll do it for
1:31:14
30 minutes and then I'll leave all right guys I'm going to save
1:31:20
you the trouble and we are going to go ahead and get it out of this live stream
1:31:26
hope this was helpful on the epoxy floor um it can be very stressful so I think doing it live and showing you exactly
1:31:32
each step of the whole entire process is going to be extremely helpful to take that pressure off if you've never done it before um definitely make sure that
