all right guys welcome back to the shop
0:02
we are going down the final punch list
0:06
for Brian and
0:08
Robin's Adventure van built by Odyssey
0:12
custom vans so I'll be in the camera in
0:14
one second let me shut the door over
0:28
here all right we are
0:32
putting the panels on the power system
0:34
for the final time um that's what we're
0:36
doing right now uh if you guys have any
0:39
questions feel free to ask them as we uh
0:44
do this live stream
0:46
today
0:48
um yeah really
0:51
exciting
0:54
uh went through
0:58
and did a second or third run I guess of
1:01
the uh the heater um you know since I've
1:05
installed it it's been hot outside I
1:08
really haven't had to to use it but I
1:10
just ran it for about a half an hour um
1:13
it's primed it's ready to go
1:16
uh putting it in the back here I've got
1:19
a bunch of considerations I've talked
1:20
about them in some other live
1:23
streams rotate this a little bit
1:32
there we
1:33
go uh one of those is if you're going to
1:36
put this in the back of the van just had
1:39
the consideration to have a couple
1:40
inches on the top sides back pretty
1:44
obvious um there's actually a piece a
1:46
diamond plate aluminum diamond plate
1:48
here and that's like a heat shield for
1:49
the
1:50
batteries um but everything's tested you
1:53
know nothing gets hot over here if
1:55
you're wondering having this in kind of
1:57
like a confined space if you just allow
2:00
adequate adequate room in the front back
2:02
and sides nice intake um should be good
2:06
to
2:08
go
2:09
um let's see
2:14
here so what we're we're doing is we are
2:18
putting
2:27
in I picked it up and now I just
2:31
put it
2:45
away there we
2:50
go uh also part of this live stream is
2:52
to it's a reference for Brian and Robin
2:56
if they ever need to take this panel off
2:58
to access this area
3:00
so back here you have your AC wiring
3:03
everything's labeled as far as what
3:05
everything is um this whole cable is
3:08
designed to go back behind the
3:11
heater um and then what I'm doing now
3:13
this is the
3:15
only uh tricky part here is because it's
3:20
in this tight space the one thing we
3:22
have to do
3:25
is uh we have to take this heater tube
3:28
off
3:29
in order to get this panel
3:34
on and in the future what I would have
3:36
done is made the uh pull out drawer
3:40
slide tray
3:41
here um from Flatline vanco I would have
3:44
made
3:45
it able to be disconnect from the floor
3:48
so you could actually take the whole
3:49
entire thing
3:50
out um so when I did John and Susan's
3:55
van if they ever decide to upgrade to
3:58
the uh
4:01
flatl vanco pull out
4:04
tray then they can
4:08
uh when they bring it by the shop we'll
4:10
do that option just so
4:12
it's a little bit of a uh easier
4:20
install yeah but I've been doing these
4:22
short live streams because uh not only
4:25
just showing you
4:26
guys you know for the customer um for
4:30
you guys but also you've been asking a
4:32
lot of really good questions and I have
4:35
a van build uh course that's coming out
4:39
October
4:40
1st and I'm really you know I've got a
4:43
lot of stuff to teach you guys um that
4:45
I've
4:46
learned over the last couple years but
4:49
the questions that you've been asking
4:50
have been um they've been great really
4:53
really good questions you know stuff
4:55
that I don't really think
4:58
that you guys would ask um so I
5:01
appreciate those questions so yeah
5:04
throughout this whole live stream if you
5:05
guys have any
5:07
questions um 100% uh just make sure you
5:12
ask me in the chat and I will answer
5:16
that the chat should be working today I
5:18
know one of the live streams that
5:19
stopped working for some
5:22
reason
5:25
but that is good
5:31
okay so yeah all you have to do is come
5:33
over here attach the
5:35
hose um and then once you do
5:38
that it's pretty straightforward is how
5:41
it goes on so you'll have these 8020 uh
5:46
roll in te- nuts is what they're called
5:48
and then all you got to do is take
5:51
your uh button
5:55
head
5:56
screws they're 5/16th Dash
6:00
18 so if you if you're messing around
6:03
with this you kind of goof and you lose
6:04
it um they're really easy to find on
6:09
Amazon uh not so sure
6:13
about Lowe's or anything like
6:16
that um because they need to be
6:18
stainless that's that's important that
6:21
they're stainless
6:30
yeah but we have those right
6:48
there now once a year you might want to
6:51
come by and just check
6:54
these um I don't locktite them because I
6:59
I've talked about lock type a lot in my
7:02
videos especially with like stainless
7:03
steel Hardware if it's something you're
7:04
not going to come back to or something
7:08
like these overhead cabinets I do use
7:10
Loctite on those um that's the stuff
7:14
that I'm going of talking about that you
7:16
I would recommend that you put locktite
7:18
on but other than that anything else I I
7:22
just pass on
7:24
that um okay next step so that panel
7:27
goes in just like that the next step is
7:31
we just bolt in our little AC
7:38
panel our AC panel breaker is uh who's
7:44
on the stream two
7:47
people so our AC panel breaker uh we do
7:50
have to pull it out because we need it
7:52
to
7:54
um yeah this Loosely come
7:58
out and
8:01
then just making sure that we've
8:05
got everything behind there where it
8:07
needs to
8:28
be
8:58
for for
9:49
so once the cables go in there you just
9:51
want to make sure
9:54
that they are pulled up out of the way
9:57
and then once that's all done will check
9:59
your
10:02
connections and everything in here is
10:04
pretty set there's nothing you can
10:05
really change about it uh one thing
10:11
is the 12volt power supply for the just
10:14
to back light this that's the only thing
10:16
that kind of gets
10:28
unplugged for
11:13
okay so once I got that in I'm just
11:14
going to go and double
11:19
check it's only three bolts it's pretty
11:21
easy to take on and off it's
11:24
just more making sure that the cables
11:27
are
11:29
up and out of the
11:40
way okay looks perfect
12:22
and then we just got four wood screws
12:25
that hold this
12:26
uh AC breaker in so this AC breaker we
12:30
just got four simple circuits we got the
12:32
Main
12:33
outlets it's labeled as main cabin
12:35
outlets and then you got the galley
12:41
Outlets so the main cabin outlets and
12:44
the galley Outlets those are the outlets
12:46
on
12:47
the bottom of the sliding door on the
12:50
outside and
12:52
the top of the kitchen
12:55
Galley and you get your water heater uh
12:58
then you got your
12:59
microwave and you can keep all these on
13:02
all the time cuz microwave
13:05
switched um I mean the heater water
13:07
heater switch the microwave you know
13:09
stays on and these Outlets you can keep
13:11
on but if you ever wanted to make sure
13:13
that these are off you just hit the
13:15
breaker off and it'll stay off um
13:18
there's some decorative little pieces
13:21
here I just snap
13:24
on um just to make it look
13:27
nice and so that's pretty much pretty
13:29
much it for this panel so this side is
13:31
all
13:32
done and then this panel over here this
13:35
is the fancy panel um I'll move the
13:38
camera around so you guys can
13:40
see it get put
13:47
in there you
13:50
go um see what I wanted to do
13:54
here just wanted to neaten up
14:01
the
14:25
labeling yeah so I just remembered over
14:27
here I'm actually going to keep this
14:28
panel off
14:31
um because I need to
14:39
uh see
14:50
here I'll still need these up so these
14:53
are the labels for the fuse panel right
14:58
here
14:59
so it's important
15:01
that you know you
15:04
know what fuses are for
15:11
what so this first one that's close
15:14
closest to the inside the van this is
15:16
our second
15:18
alternator so it goes by the brand ws500
15:22
this a wake speed
15:25
500
15:27
um and this is the control 12vt so this
15:30
is
15:32
the
15:33
uh this is what is regulating that power
15:37
coming out
15:38
of the alternator
15:42
itself
15:45
okay so you got that sticker right
15:49
here so that lets us know what this one
15:53
is and the next one we have is
15:59
this is a 12volt sense
16:03
wire uh it's a 12volt sense wire circuit
16:06
for all the 12vt senses so you got your
16:11
dedic
16:15
uh you got your dedic RTX 2000 sense
16:18
wire you've got
16:20
your uh Renegy sense wires so two of
16:25
them um and then you've got
16:30
uh your other uh your sense wire for
16:34
your so one sense here one sense here s
16:38
for the RTX
16:40
2000 and then we've got the uh sense for
16:46
the victron shunt and then uh the wake
16:52
speed regulator is sensed
16:55
on the victron shun itself
16:59
and then the
17:02
uh trying to do this all off my
17:11
head um the wakes speit has its own
17:14
scent there's two tiny screws on the
17:17
victron shunt not the main bolts that
17:20
hold these wires but the small screws
17:23
that's sensing the voltage in and out
17:24
and then there's also a negative
17:27
terminal on the battery for a sense
17:30
positive on the positive
17:33
side and then there is a wire that goes
17:37
on the negative terminal for temperature
17:39
sensing for the wave speed regulator
17:45
itself so all that is controlled by this
17:48
two amp circuit it's a very little
17:51
amperage because it doesn't do any work
17:53
it's
17:54
just it's just for the uh the circuitry
17:58
to see voltage it's not running anything
18:03
so um yeah so two amp is pretty much all
18:08
you want uh there's a dedicated fuse for
18:13
the this red LED just complet it's just
18:16
for looks so this is completely
18:19
just for looks so that it looks
18:22
cool that's this next
18:27
one um and then
18:30
finally we have our 110 AC breaker LED
18:34
so that wire that I plugged in over here
18:36
that breaker LED is over here uh it's I
18:39
call it the breaker LED because when you
18:42
plug it in it lights up but it also uh
18:44
Powers the the circuit board that is
18:48
within the AC
18:51
breaker so that is independent and that
18:54
is on this
18:56
last section right here
19:09
okay so you have this right here
19:13
um didn't really want to put this here I
19:15
wanted it to be in some paper but if
19:18
you're in the middle of nowhere doing an
19:20
adventure if you can quickly reference
19:22
this to this uh it's just this a better
19:26
way to go
19:29
um yeah so I'm going to leave all this
19:31
stuff in the van cuz we're actually
19:32
going to take it
19:33
outside we've done all of our pressure
19:35
testing for the water system we've done
19:37
our leak test uh we got our batteries
19:40
topped off um we got our Electronics all
19:44
set up
19:46
um getting ready to test the hot water
19:48
heater
19:49
switch but um I'm not going to turn the
19:52
inverter on because we're going to take
19:54
this outside and just take it for a lap
19:56
around and uh
19:59
test out the wake
20:02
speed
20:10
um so that should be fun so yeah we're
20:13
just going to cleaning up stuff in the
20:14
van
20:16
so we don't have all this stuff in here
20:18
cuz we're pretty much done working on
20:20
the
20:23
van let's see if we got any questions in
20:25
the
20:27
chat Southern mofo you demand appreciate
20:32
it
20:37
um yeah I'm trying to think there's
20:39
anything else I'll give you guys a tour
20:40
here in a little bit but uh yeah I just
20:43
wanted to cover that panel back there
20:46
just to have it online for Brian and
20:48
Robin if they ever need to take that off
20:50
and I'm not
20:51
available so yeah we're going to take
20:53
this up on the road
20:55
and test it out I going to wash it and
20:58
then I'm going to bring it back inside
21:00
and I'm going to
21:02
finish this right
21:05
here so this is all completely done um
21:08
the only thing I'm doing over here is
21:11
this panel I'm cutting a slit out so
21:14
that the blue LEDs will be
21:17
powered uh when the system gets
21:21
primed and I've got this disconnected so
21:25
um yeah we're not going to connect it
21:27
until
21:30
we get it taped up and all that good
21:33
stuff but I'm keeping this here in case
21:36
I have I need I need to modify this so
21:38
last night if you watched The Late Night
21:39
Live stream this got all put together um
21:42
everything under here is ready to go all
21:44
the plumbing so this is this is done um
21:47
the only thing left is to get this back
21:50
panel on and so the whole water systems
21:53
ready to go I've already got uh you know
21:57
we've had this overnight for two days
22:00
now and you know we're I'm happy with uh
22:04
there's no leaks
22:08
so I would say of course there's no
22:10
leaks but you never know you want to be
22:13
triple triple
22:15
sure mainly because it's almost
22:18
impossible to unless you take those
22:19
panels off to actually see for leaks
22:22
look for this
22:29
um here let me give you a little quick
22:31
inside tour um and then I will hop off
22:37
here so this
22:39
Outlet this is this is a new
22:43
addition so nice open and close I did
22:46
have to modify underneath here this
22:48
button was sticking but it's not
22:51
working um sink's been tested good to go
22:54
all I need to do is just adjust this
22:56
line
22:58
buttons
23:00
in this area is taken care of we got our
23:03
pullout
23:05
step um yeah so the only thing left over
23:09
here let's uh bolt this
23:12
down really quick and take this thing
23:15
for a spin and we'll see you guys in the
23:17
next live stream
