I'm fixing my hair before the live stream hey guys welcome back to the live stream today we are at peace 11 Vans
0:10
outside of Dade City Florida um this is with Luchi River Park and uh yeah it is
0:16
a very rainy day so what I wanted to do um I'm going to give you a tour of our
0:22
van Odyssey custom vans um because of the rain and everything I've got a lot of good uh tips for you guys on on how
0:30
this whole thing works when you're in the rain and trying to just you know take care of stuff in the van um later
0:37
on this afternoon in a uh this would be an off camera video we're going to do some more van tours um there's some
0:44
awesome vans today so I'm going to dedicate that time to doing some more van tours to put out a new video when I
0:50
get back to the shop so let's uh get out of the van let me show you the van that we're working with most of you people
0:56
know this van but this is our adventure in Van build and
1:03
uh yeah actually we'll just start off inside so we're going to go through the
1:09
process of kind of getting up in the morning uh how you're going to be using
1:15
the van in different ways um and just some some things I thought might be interesting to talk
1:21
about so the first thing we have is the interior of the van and we're going to
1:26
start from getting out of bed and kind of going through the bed uh the van like I was saying so what we have here is a
1:34
short queen and it is 74 in by 60
1:42
in and uh this is made by no so none of this stuff in the video is
1:47
sponsored um Brooklyn Brooklyn Bedding is where I got this bedding from uh or
1:53
this mattress and it's a 6inch mattress uh it's extremely comfortable
1:59
um I really enjoy it and uh what's nice about a 6-in mattress is uh every inch
2:06
matters so if you're wanting to do like a 8 to 10 inch mattress I really wouldn't recommend that because um where
2:13
the window frames actually have to sit in Vans are typically you know 6 in is
2:18
right at the limit to where the window is going to fit in the bump out of the
2:24
van and when I say bump out this is a factory bump out which means it is not
2:30
cut or modified on the outside of the van so that factory bump out is going to
2:36
give you the most space possible however it's going to limit where any type of
2:41
window can go up or down in your van so where the window sits and where the bed is that's about 6 in and we want that so
2:50
that there's enough room for the gear in the bottom of your van to uh you have
2:55
enough room so um what I like to do is this is the Flatline vanc bed system and
3:02
it has a bunch of uh L track mounts and openings so not only does this bed have
3:10
great ventilation so you're not having to put like a grid or an egg crate type
3:15
thing to bre have the bed breathe um it's got grab handles right there those
3:21
pill shaped areas so you can take the bed in and out and uh yeah you can actually hang
3:28
some shirts up and it's a great height now I have a big flat screen in here
3:33
that was for a a demo for the uh show today but it's it's just pouring down rain so I don't want to take it out but
3:41
anyway the bed's nice uh the bed system is good for ventilation and mounting
3:47
things um the other thing that's nice is being able to access your we call it the
3:53
garage area under your bed uh for a number of reasons getting stuff in and out um but typically it's a good place
4:01
to put like a portable toilet um maybe on that tray or rack if you need to use
4:07
it and think of this more as an emergency um typically when you're out
4:13
at these events uh you're going to have facilities maybe have showers um nine times out of 10 you're going to have
4:19
some type of facility or way to use the restroom um unless you're really going
4:24
off- grid and you need to have some type of permanent solution
4:30
um or for example we went and tour to bgie bougie builds the other day and
4:36
they always put like a really nice bathroom in their van um so yeah think
4:42
of this as more emergency use and you can put it in the back of the uh garage
4:48
area now in this build since we're getting back to talking about odsy
4:53
custom van specifically in this live stream um if we move from the bed and we
4:59
come back what we have is our kitchen area so this is where we're going to have our sink
5:04
and this sink is a revati 15 by 20 sink
5:10
um with a uh let's see what faucet this is I know this is a Home Depo I think it's
5:16
Glacier Bay um and then I have this very special I call it very special Mount
5:22
this a valve right here it's special because it's hard to find something that
5:27
matches a finish so it looks kind of incognito and it's not standing jumping right out at you this is actually how we
5:35
are going to uh you know take our shower so what's nice about this design is it
5:42
is you really don't know it it's there over here so pardon the mess I got
5:48
business cards and we're at the show so we have the uh uh this is the hose
5:55
that's connected we also have our induction stove in there but you'll hook the hose up to
6:01
this and what's convenient is what you can do is turn the faucet on get the
6:06
water temperature right and get that faucet arm exactly where you want it for the water temperature and then all you
6:13
need to do is Select this knob so you'll pull this knob out like that and then
6:19
once this knob selected it's going to transfer that to the hose and so now
6:25
your water temperature set you're not wasting water it's going straight to the hose hose and then the hose sprayer
6:31
itself is off and locked so you don't have to worry about it so just put your hose here and then inside this cabinet
6:38
we have the magnetic shower base so you're going to take that um put it up
6:44
here in the L track that you have and don't worry we're going to get to all the details in this
6:51
van um and then what you're going to do is you're going to take your uh shower pan and you're going to open
6:58
it up and then this is your Tetra van shower pan in the floor now I specifically did
7:06
not clean up the van because I wanted to make a point here that the Marine flooring is
7:13
essential in a van um whether you get a basic entry level floor or you go up to
7:19
a super nice lawn seal or you even go to this company again not sponsored but you
7:26
go to a two te 2 flooring and this flooring is it's super cool um this one
7:32
is really expensive you probably seen it in a couple Vans uh Rover Vans uses this
7:38
uh blue one um I was going to do this one but I'd already uh had the build
7:45
underway um I'm actually going to put a snap-in
7:50
floor uh kind of like in habit um but I have my own design that I'd like to put
7:56
into this van anyway there's two Tech 2 flooring is uh that's probably the
8:02
highest grade premium floor that you could put in a van but it's it's
8:07
important because as we look here we're going to go this way we're going to pop outside just for a
8:12
second but I just wanted to show you that you can see all this stuff here and
8:19
you may get worried and say oh man this is just a mess but it's not if I take my hand and I wipe it it's you know super
8:28
clean other thing is to make sure that this step out here can really withstand a lot
8:34
of water so you see this you see how in a Ford Transit the only downside is so
8:41
let's look at site 7even over here for example so a sprinter has these uh these
8:48
the pillar on a sprinter uh the curve of the roof when it comes
8:56
down it it comes down very quick it's a very sharp angle and the awning can
9:01
actually shed it shed you from the water but on a Ford Transit as we open up the
9:09
door you'll see that we've got about a foot and a half that is
9:14
unprotected now you can get this is a fyama f45s awning it's great it's a very
9:20
popular awning however it's a 10t and it's not
9:26
self-supporting so what that means is it's going to need to have uh these poles extended to support the awning but
9:34
I prefer this it's manual it's not going to you know break you don't have to worry about electric motors and stuff
9:39
like that um Pro tip for you guys make sure this one's fully extended and then
9:45
as you come over I have this uh at an angle so I'm going to try to cover my camera so it doesn't get wet here but
9:52
you guys can see the uh it's at an angle and that's going to give it the gutter effect to drain the water off rough uh
9:59
really nice make sure my lens is not got water on it I'll wipe it off in a second
10:07
anyway now fyama does make something called The Eagle series and the eagle series is going to be something that has
10:15
uh it's longer I believe it's 12 feet to 14 ft don't quote me on that but the
10:21
eagle is their self-supporting series I believe and that is going to extend just
10:27
a little bit more Now by that extending just a little bit more it's going to cover that edge uh
10:34
but a lot of people like to joke about it because it kind of looks like a uh you know air fueling probe sticking out
10:40
of your van so that's kind of funny um what we have here in the front
10:47
just while we're looking at it uh we have a backing to our uh Flatline vanco
10:53
41in kitchen Galley and this is not uh a laminate or anything this is solid 3/4
11:00
inch bamboo so just to make sure everything is matched and then what I've done is I've integrated into the frame
11:08
of the flatl vanco a lagoon table Mount so you can cook outside and then we have a water
11:16
resistant uh electrical outlet here and this thing is really cool you can see it
11:21
it's nice and fancy opens up nice and slow and then it locks into place but
11:27
this is a perfect example of the intention or design intent of this is It's protected from water to an
11:34
extent never assume anything is waterproof in the van World um but you
11:40
do have two USB ports two outlets this is a 15 amp circuit so you're going to
11:45
be able to you know cook on induction no problem um and also you know charge up
11:53
your phone but the one reason I really like doing this is a concept cep is um if you guys
12:00
watch me in my streams you know I'm really picky on details um maybe OCD at times but I think that's good for a
12:06
custom builder um really wanted to make sure this line was just super tight so
12:12
check this out so really proud of how that line even this little step out just
12:18
these little details is what I really like to pay attention to and then this has three coats of uh
12:24
polyurethane on it so nice weatherproof but we'll hop back in the
12:30
van and kind of continue the kind of story of getting out of bed and getting
12:35
ready so we don't have to worry about this so let's go ahead and hop back
12:43
in So after we get out of bed um there's a couple things in this
12:48
van that's nice let's say it's early morning um so if we come over here we've got our reny M1 controller um so it's
12:56
pretty cool it is it integrates all the systems of the van so your DC todc
13:02
Chargers uh your inverter um charger we have a 3,000 wat pure sine W of inverter
13:08
getting our 110 power um and you can set this to turn off so it's not you know
13:13
shining during the day or you can have it on the whole entire time but over here we've got um all of our lights so
13:20
we've got our exterior light that's the Amber one we've got our uh in uh
13:26
indirect lighting and this this is really cool so this indirect
13:33
lighting um what I did is this is not the way that these are actually supposed
13:38
to be mounted um if I mounted these they'd be on a slight angle so I wanted
13:43
to make sure they were nice true and level it was really challenging trying to figure out how to to mount this but
13:50
the end result is awesome now what the indirect lighting does is it's a nice
13:55
mood inside the van it's very relaxing at the end of the day but it doubles as the interior lights
14:03
for your uh for your all your storage so what I have here is I've got stuff to
14:09
make coffee I've got my jet boil I've got a dry bag for keeping stuff dry I've
14:14
got my camera from taking all the photos that you guys see um on the website uh my GoPro stuff camera bag
14:22
couple of snacks um coffee and then what's nice is
14:27
these cabinets are fully removable so what I did was I created this uh line
14:33
right here so this is the power for the indirect lighting and if you wanted to
14:38
take this sh cabinet out to get you some more room in here you can definitely do that
14:45
um so uh yeah I really like these cabinets I'm just a really big fan of
14:51
bamboo I just think it looks it just looks really nice um and then back here in the back
14:58
I've got room for my uh this is my backpack that's got all of my audio
15:04
visual you know video gear all the stuff that kind of makes these videos possible it's stuffed in there um I got some
15:10
extra clothes and in the back you hop up on the bed
15:15
here in the back this is a really this is the section for like you know nighttime sleeping so I have uh I have
15:27
a like a zero sleeping bag that I just use this as a blanket um so when I'm
15:33
showing the B off I don't really mess with this I just kind of use this but check it out this has two
15:41
uh the high-speed charging USB ports so they're both off right now but you can
15:46
turn them on individually and this is a great place to store your laptop and
15:51
have your laptop charge during the day while you're out and about cameras charging phone charging GoPro batteries
15:58
whatever you want you can put that in here also when you're sleeping in the bed at night time
16:03
you could you just have an additional power source uh but then you know if you had the iPad look you just put it in
16:10
there close it up and then that's charging it's out of the
16:15
way um but what's nice about these Outlets is they have this uh little
16:20
switch so you're able to control if they're on or off so you don't actually have to unplug all your items to turn it
16:29
off plug them back in back and forth and they're a USB and a USB type-c the USB
16:35
type-c is a 65 wat fast charge and I make sure and if you have a builder as well
16:41
you need to make sure that it's fused and got the appropriate wire to actually
16:47
provide enough amperage for the fast charge if not you're just going to have
16:53
like a standard 5vt USB situation in
16:59
um although that works it's not really how fast charging Works while we're back
17:05
here we've got the Vander Moon uh uh rear door
17:10
organizers and they're great I mean if you can think think about what you're doing here is when you're in bed you
17:17
have all of your uh you got this space back here um
17:22
you know you can put bag storage luggage uh you could have your toiletries back here you know it's kind of like his and
17:28
hers you can have one side yours uh one side hers and um yeah it's just a great place for
17:37
storage what's nice is there's Nets on the bottom and we'll see this when we go
17:42
back under the to the back of the van but the Nets are where you could put your water filters and stuff something
17:48
that needs to maybe drip drain or or um you know you don't want it to be messing
17:54
with the other stuff in your van so that's the overhead cabinet storage uh with that um we do have a dedic RTX
18:03
2000 air conditioning unit mounted over the bed so super comfortable with the 600 amp hours of
18:10
lithium iron phosphate batteries we have you're going to be able to run this for approximately 2 days um with it cycling
18:17
on and off so it's always it's very hard to say exactly how long that's going to
18:23
run depending on the humidity the temperature outside inside it's all a factor
18:29
but uh with my research 600 amp hours is probably the minimum you want to have if
18:34
you have a 12vt rooftop AC just in my personal
18:40
opinion uh but yeah let's turn these lights back on we're going to turn the indirect lights off and these are Lum
18:47
coin lights and they are amazing so if we double click them we can turn this
18:53
whole entire van into a uh now I can't reach the back lights but
19:01
um the point is you can turn this whole van into red light mode and that helps
19:07
really nice that's really nice at nighttime if you're trying to kind of be incognitive going in and out um and
19:13
stuff like that and um yeah it's cool you can also self
19:19
you can dim these lights um you can just touch them once and then this way the
19:26
front of the van uh the rear of the van has lighting but the front of the van's
19:32
dark so maybe you're just wanted to relax and you know read a book at night
19:39
um it's just uh comfortable and it does memory setting so whatever last setting
19:44
you have these things will
19:51
uh will remember and they're they're very smart lights and they had this offset with
19:58
their ring and the reason they do that is because they
20:05
uh so this isn't the lights being weird this is me
20:11
um doing that uh so if you hold down you can actually dim the light and then
20:17
it'll blink twice and until tell you that's its lowest setting then you can push and hold
20:24
again and it pulses twice and that tells you that hey we're back to full
20:30
brightness and then over here um and I just like this cuz it's super clean and
20:36
it's just you know it doesn't look like a switch but it's a switch and I wanted to keep this van
20:42
extremely simple um I know there's a lot of people out there that want to have a van and they're you know they just don't
20:49
want to mess with the electrical system they want something that just works charges and is very simple so um
20:58
I've done really technical builds with the electrical and wireless circuits for example like in Thomas's van which is
21:05
Marine 1 um every single circuit in his van over 16 circuits are Bluetooth
21:10
controlled but via his phone um and then I kind of wanted to step back um just
21:17
getting feedback and saying hey let's just do inside indirect outside light
21:22
keep it nice and simple so this is pretty much what controls your whole entire van this is your max van
21:29
um and let's talk about ventilation for a second so especially today it's very damp
21:35
outside and you can see all the windows here are fogged up that's cuz I'm you know breathing in and out
21:42
and uh you know us humans make a lot of moisture in the van and it's really
21:48
important that we have some way of managing the humidity so uh having a max
21:54
van that can open up quickly and just keep a nice uh Breeze
22:01
coming through the van or ventilation uh That's essential in Van life so if you
22:06
don't have an air conditioner you need you at least need to have some type of ventilation um all the van windows in
22:12
this van vent so we have a crl vent here so this is the one for the kitchen so
22:18
let's just say you were cooking um you're going to have this nice draft to come up and over and bring all those
22:25
smells outside the van I always like to cook outside of the van regardless if I
22:32
have a nice cooktop induction stove I just you know if you have to cook in the
22:37
van cuz it's you know 20° outside or whatever that's cool um just make sure
22:43
you have adequate ventilation so we've got one vent over here and then we've got dual window vents over here on this
22:51
other crl T vent window and then over here these are our aw 1033 awning stock
22:58
windows and what I like about these versus the slider windows is that this
23:05
one can be left open during uh light rain so the rain will come Shed off of
23:10
it and you can get that ventilation um so I think that's really important uh also these comes with these
23:17
come with come with bug screens these also are have bug screens on the ventilation so everything's bug
23:24
screened over here we've got all of our covers um we've actually have a cover
23:31
for the max fan itself insulative cover I put that on at
23:36
nighttime um and then over here we've got uh this is the aw
23:44
1033 bunk window insulation insulation and it's from Van Essentials
23:51
now again not sponsored um I like van Essentials because they're brand they're
23:57
vehicle specific and you can get it on Amazon uh it's just very [Music]
24:03
convenient all right so we in the we're in the bed we got out we got our stuff ready um we're over here we're making
24:11
our coffee in the morning at our sink getting ready uh maybe we want to get a
24:16
get a drink so we got our ISM Cruise 130 fridge here so this thing is
24:24
awesome uh this is in a 20 2 4 in wide Flatline vanco kitchen Galley um
24:34
Flatline vanco uh I really like the products they're very nice um they are
24:39
on the higher end so but the reason that they're on the higher end is when I open a box from
24:46
them it's this is what you get it's already put together it's got a great powder coat on it it's got a very nice
24:54
solid bamboo top on it it's pre-cut out for a isotherm
25:01
Cruise uh 65 drawer fridge and so what I
25:06
did and uh if go and do is on here I saw I saw you commenting so thanks for uh
25:13
the comment but uh we were chatting and the idea came up that this isotherm
25:19
Cruise may fit in this cabinet so what I did is I modified it which means I just took a jsaw and I cut it very neatly out
25:27
and I have to say it is possible for a icerm cruise 130 fridge to fit in a 24in
25:33
flatline vanco cabinet uh and it looks great it is awesome the benefit of the
25:39
Flatline vanco cabinet is it's adventure wagon compatible so if you guys have
25:44
been hearing me talk about Adventure wagon a bunch um let's see I'm trying to
25:51
find uh all my paperwork's outside anyway this whole entire interior kit so
25:56
if you're looking and you're like man this thing looks awesome the L TR the bamboo in the middle of the ceiling uh
26:03
these lra rails that is Adventure wagon so the whole interior system is
26:08
Adventure wagon um again it's expensive it's on the higher end but uh I think it
26:15
has such a good value because the kit is not only the lre and all the walls and
26:21
the upholstery it's an internal structure that everything is riveted to the van so it's extremely safe um I mean
26:29
I can actually do pull-ups on this cabinet I'm not lying it's part of the
26:35
van it comes with sound deding material for the whole entire van it comes with pre cutout 3M thinlit insulation that is
26:43
when I say pre-cut out it is cut out exactly for the area that it needs to go
26:48
in and it's labeled so it is it's a great kit um there I mean there's an
26:56
initial sticker shock but I'm telling you the insulation the sound deadening it
27:01
comes with a Max fan it comes with the max fan hole actually pre-cut out for you so you don't have to um turn into me
27:09
and spend a bunch of time trying to make a super precise one time get it right
27:14
cut like I did for the AC so uh yeah I really like it and it's
27:19
it's great for a DIY to get that professional install look um because it
27:25
is a professional product all right all right so getting back to the uh
27:30
refrigerator each uh all the ref everything in this van um I'm Hing you
27:36
can see it but I have these uh these mounts so the cabinet is structurally
27:41
bolted to the van and if you guys know me from other videos
27:49
um this uh this structure right here
27:55
is you just think of if you have an accident or a fender bender or something like that you want this to not move
28:03
especially if it's a refrigerator so if you can imagine I have one bolt into this horizontal L
28:10
track piece behind this flip and fold we'll talk about that in a second but I've got one bolt here and then I've got
28:16
two bolts here they're all grade eight bolts and grade eight bolts is an automotive grade bolt you know designed
28:23
for safety um has to do with his tensil strength a bunch of nerdy stuff that
28:29
we'll not get into right now but what that does is that locks this positively
28:35
into the van so if we hit something um this is not going to hit you that's the
28:41
whole goal um so as we're talking about safety let's talk about the flip and fold so as you notice uh these are uh 38
28:52
in grade8 bolts there are 10 bolts holding this flip and fold seat seat in
28:58
and uh I mean I almost think we could probably lift the van up by this seat
29:05
um so this is the fredman flipping fold seat and uh it's directly bolted to the
29:12
floor of the Chassy so it's through bolted to the bottom of the floor um and
29:18
uh yeah lock tight it and all that good stuff so um and I do all this so you
29:25
know so I can sleep at night I want to make sure I make a quality product or if I'm taking products from other companies
29:32
and I want to make sure that they're integrating into themselves and creating
29:38
something that's safe um reg regardless if it's built like 8020 like the power
29:43
system the aluminum uh from Adventure uh from flight line vanco or like Freeman
29:49
seat so I think as a builder that's your responsibility is to make sure that each
29:55
component works together um you're not just kind of hoping for the best if uh
30:01
if I could say it like that so these are bolted in this kitchen galy is also bolted in so we actually have one FL
30:09
floor bolt in the back that keeps it from doing this this motion and then
30:15
from the this axis we have this L TR and that one
30:21
is let's see if I can get since we're getting technical here um
30:27
so these two bolts those are what are keeping it safe in in that
30:35
direction um again this is preut out for a isotherm uh 65 drawer fridge so you
30:43
can see here there's a ventilation panel in the back um we won't be doing that
30:48
we're going to put a microwave and a uh locking drawer slide with a box and what
30:55
that's going to do is that's going to allow us to to uh pull out a step box
31:00
with some tread material and that's going to help us hop into bed at night so that way um you have a step to get
31:09
into the bed so I think that's a pretty good idea um but if you get the 41in kitchen
31:15
Galley not only do you have a great space to put a 15x 20 revati and you can
31:21
see here that um that's how far down the verat sink goes so it's a very deep sink
31:29
and then we've got a graywater tank from Panther RV I don't actually know the name of the tank now don't ignore this
31:37
this is just for looks right now as you guys know watching the channel um and the rush for the show the plumbing is
31:44
the one thing that we need to uh finish up in this van but uh with that being said you have
31:51
a ton of storage you can actually do 14 G this is a 7 gon tank and there is room I know the video doesn't show it but
31:58
there's enough room to do two of these in here and you have this huge door um that you can access this but not
32:07
only do you have room for a 65 drawer fridge if you didn't have an additional kitchen Galley so you got a place for
32:13
your fridge you got this huge drawer here um this is a very big oversized
32:19
drawer so you can see that's an induction cook top but we've got plenty of room for utensils and stuff on the
32:25
side some people actually just put it the the uh induction stove in the bottom
32:31
so down here in the bottom I've got my tripod so you can see that's a camera tripod and a book and I still I mean you
32:38
can put a bunch of stuff in here um and then here's I wear a size 12 shoe so you can
32:45
see there's a bunch of room in here and it's a soft closed
32:51
door so that thing is Beefy all right so we've uh We've made
32:57
our coffee we've gotten something to drink over here um maybe we want to have
33:03
a place to charge our phone so right here I put in another one of those
33:09
high-speed uh 65 watt let's see you can probably see it right here so 65 watt
33:16
and see look I can turn it on and off okay that's charging my iPhone and then
33:22
I can use another USB port and that one is going to be charging my uh
33:27
my GoPro so that's just hanging out there and the Flatline vanc cabinets
33:33
have these uh vents so that is allowing it to breathe really well to be honest
33:42
um this whole back is open so see this is the the wires in the vent fan for the
33:47
uh fridge so this fridge is got all the breathing room it needs it's going to do
33:53
just fine if this Van's like 100 plus degre inside um although you know I don't
34:01
recommend that if uh if you're storing your van or something like that definitely turn your fridge Off plan
34:06
accordingly um everything in a van is not invincible so just kind of think about that uh same
34:14
thing with the max fan I would not suggest to leave it on the auto open and
34:20
close for an extended period of time um although we all love the max fan all the
34:28
uh mechanical surfaces or what you want to call it they're all plastic there's not these metal guide rails and stuff
34:34
like that um so I know that may surprise a bunch of you but it's plastic on
34:40
plastic when this thing is opening up and down now that's just kind of the way it is so
34:47
um when you're using the auto on and off might be good for a weekend but if you
34:53
have it in storage uh for a couple weeks or a couple months I would not suggest that you're definitely going to
34:59
um it's uh it's not going to last so easy way to say that okay we're in the back of the van
35:06
we got up got our coffee got something to drink we're charging our phone um and then we're going to move to
35:13
the front of the van so the front of the van we've got two scopa swivel seats for
35:20
the Ford Transit um if you're wondering where these seats came from somehow this
35:28
van uh this this van and I'm not trying to show off or anything but this van is
35:35
it was like a special Ford uh model for like a dealership and
35:40
what I mean by that is uh they trimmed it out with a bunch of luxury things that don't make sense for a cargo van so
35:47
the front of this van is uh I mean it's decked out with pretty much every Max
35:53
option that this van came with um these are actually Four board leather seats so
35:59
they're not vinyl they're actually they're actually a leather seat um and
36:04
they got the like white pin striping Stitch so not sure how I Came Upon This
36:10
when I got this van but yeah pretty cool
36:15
um so from here forward it's just it's a really nice uh trim same thing with the
36:21
leather steering wheel and you can see the steering wheel it's got all the buttons all the options uh we've got uh
36:28
parking mode um traction control uh auto start off I mean pretty
36:35
much everything so with that being said and the seats are powered uh but getting
36:41
back to the Cima the scopa seats are uh really nice they're very high quality
36:47
they install very easy um you just have to uh car
36:54
review I know I know I kind of stuck that in in there yeah I'm only saying that because
37:00
this van is for sale guys so I do I do want to uh let everyone know that this van is for sale so go to Odyssey
37:07
customs.com you can schedule a appointment with me on my calendar select a date and time and we can chat
37:13
about if you are interested in checking out this van uh the shop is in Hickory North Carolina and I'd love for you to
37:20
come by and see the van if you're interested in this van um but yeah we got the two leather
37:27
seats they're awesome but you can see over here uh just working on editing some videos and this little Lagoon table
37:34
I got from again not sponsored but Panther RV and uh what's nice is it's
37:39
pre-finished it's ready to go out of the box and you don't have to do anything to it and it's bamboo which you know I
37:47
like but yeah this is the front seat you can just hang out um work on some some
37:52
videos and all that good stuff and uh kind of do your thing and I just want to make a note as I'm in
37:59
this van and I'm talking notice how the windows get really fogged up so again
38:05
just make sure you keep the van ventilated I'm breaking the rules right now because I'm filming a video it's not
38:12
that big of a deal but uh yeah and then with the front seats and the swivel we have the
38:19
Freedman flipping fold and this has a we're going to fold this down just so you can see how everybody can kind of
38:25
hang out in the front of the van now again this is tight van life is all about compromise okay you're showering
38:33
inside a van that doesn't have a shower so you're you know and then you're modifying the sink so you can get the
38:38
water to shower yourself so compromise is fine it's just the way it is um so these seats right
38:47
here we're going to go to the Freeman flip and fold this is a locking mechanism so that this seat doesn't
38:53
rattle while you drive awesome does a great job all right I'm going to do this
38:59
with my foot it's okay I'm not breaking anything I'm just trying to film and do this at the same time but one-handed I
39:04
can come down and uh guys this is a this is a table that we're going to put on this
39:12
thing in just a second it's it's crazy um you pull this out and it snaps onto
39:19
this seat and it makes another extended working surface uh it's pretty pretty
39:26
wild all right let's uh open up this seat here let's see if I can do this and
39:36
film um okay another part of the compromises inance we have a very
39:42
vertical seat but look how much room we have here so I'm going to make sure that I don't pinch my
39:50
wires okay so be careful there is enough
39:55
room for me to kind of scoop by that's not the point the point of this seat is to carry additional
40:01
passengers so hold on a second I'm just going to be moving a little bit more and then I'll get into the front seat here
40:08
so now I'm in I'm in the front of the van we've got
40:14
two passengers we got one here we got two three and then I'm sitting at the
40:21
desk where I was uh filming earlier and what you can see is uh it's pretty
40:28
comfortable if I'm there I got you know enough room to sit down it's not ideal but again what I'm
40:36
uh the point I'm trying to push is you have a way to carry two people and then when you're done carrying two people you
40:42
can flip the uh seat up and get out get
40:47
it out of the way but with this bump out from Adventure Wagon in the window it's a really nice experience for the
40:54
passengers in this van to have a place to look out the window while you're driving whether it's your kids friends
41:01
family but then look at that now we've repurpose this uh USB port so you can
41:06
charge iPads and stuff like that as you drive there is a way to bolt in an
41:13
additional Lagoon table so for the future owner I put two bolts right here
41:18
pre Riv nutted this so that if you want to integrate
41:24
this uh Lagoon mount that's over here if you want to put that on the
41:29
driver side of the van you can do it no problem all right let's uh pick up this
41:37
seat sorry guys I'm making your seick here so bear with
41:43
me again Che this one finger one finger
41:49
pops right up it's really easy to work with um see how am I going to
41:57
show you guys the table let's see I'll be impressed if I can do this with one hand let's see
42:12
here all
42:23
right okay I could do this check out onehanded I undid
42:29
it I'm pulling this out and then this is going to mount
42:36
into this seat stick with me guys stick with me I
42:41
know it's we're getting seasick here but check this out this is like this is so
42:47
wild when I saw this so this is another table that is with the uh fliping fold
42:56
so look at that so you got this much counter space if you want counter space look at this you got this and then you
43:02
also got that and then you got this it's kind of too much
43:08
right all right so this van has adequate counter space I would
43:15
say um yeah so that's pretty much the interior of the van the last thing is this overhead shelf and one guys uh a
43:24
pro tip overhead Shelf shes are not designed for weight from a builder's perspective
43:31
there are only one there is only one Threaded Screw per side all right so you
43:38
get one Threaded Screw hold on let me move this table out of the way here we
43:44
go okay this right here you have one
43:50
Threaded Screw on this first piece this second one has a metal clip coarse
43:57
thread so this grab uh grab handle and
44:02
this is all plastic so when you see these aftermarket shelves you want to get the lightest
44:08
thing that you can get this I forgot who this is from it's a super light shelf as you can see but its only job is to car
44:16
hold the insulated covers and just have a place to get that out of the way so I'm not having to stuff them in my
44:22
cabinets all right so that is the inter here now we're going to move outside and
44:28
we're going to talk about outside so as we come to our door you
44:34
can see we still have room to keep our table here um get in and out of the
44:41
[Music] van make sure I got my key so I don't
44:46
get locked out here all right so there is the T vent
44:54
window from crl everyone loves the t- vent because crl makes it look like it's
44:59
a factory piece of glass uh I know sometimes there might be some maybe quality or fitment issues but if you get
45:07
the window this is not sponsored but if you get the window open it immediately
45:12
check for any defects uh especially check to make sure that this there's an evenness or a quality check here to make
45:19
sure the glass is even that's the first thing out of the box you want to make sure make sure the operation of the
45:25
window vent is is good um they'll help you out if you
45:31
quickly as soon as you arrive I me get it inspect it say hey just messed up
45:36
send it back um I know it's frustrating but the options we have in the industry for uh glass like this uh is just you
45:45
know it's limited so if you want this look again there's some compromises uh we put this really cool
45:52
too uh graphic on the outside of the van I think it looks awesome and um again nice and clean up to our
46:01
window uh we're going to move to the back of the van and I'm going to try to keep the rain off of the camera but this
46:08
is the uh FY f45s awning and we showed you earlier how
46:15
that was mounted we got the Flatline vanco uh gear rack on the back and we
46:21
got some traction boards in case you're stuck even though this van is the EcoBoost turbocharged V6 with the
46:29
all-wheel drive and BF Goodwrench ko2 tires that are
46:35
2557016 these are the largest tires that you can fit on a factory Ford Transit
46:41
and not rub in here okay when you turn so beside the Flatline vanco gear
46:49
rack we also have the Flatline vanco spare tire wack spare tire rack is
46:55
necessary because it has uh you need a spare tire rack because it this tire
47:02
will not fit in the factory location once you have uh upgraded your
47:07
tires um question does this have a toilet it does it does not have a
47:13
dedicated bathroom but it does have a toilet that comes with this purchase um
47:19
you can have you got two options for me uh I'll give you one of them two of them
47:24
I'll give you both of them if you buy the in I got a thatford 125 and a thatford
47:30
365 um that come with it so
47:35
yep uh underneath behind this panel and again we don't have the uh all the
47:42
nozzles and stuff for the outdoor shower the hot and cold the cargo lights all of that is going to be populated into this
47:48
panel um as soon as we get back to the shop but in here we have a Northwest
47:55
conversion we have a 40 G water tank and behind it
48:00
we've got a 4G residential Bosch hot water tank and uh that was just some math that
48:06
I did so the water capacity um once you fill this whole entire thing up on the
48:12
right side of the van will be 359 lbs so that's just a way to let you know that
48:19
uh I know just to to be safe so we got about 359 lbs um and then over here the
48:26
power system is almost close to 400 lb uh with what we have configured in here
48:32
got a really cool light so that you can show off your cool van to all your
48:38
friends but um let's quickly talk about the uh the power system so we've got a
48:44
blue C systems uh 120 volt breaker system um it's their
48:50
360 uh breaker system and I think it's one of the best uh because it is so low
48:55
profile clean out of the way and uh yeah pretty
49:02
awesome um oh somebody says uh my voice sounds familiar so here I'll this is
49:08
who's talking so hey guys I know I've been uh just only showing the van but it's me talking right now
49:15
um inside here we've got uh we have a Webasto airtop Evo
49:22
40 um that is a massive heater for this whole entire van uh I actually probably
49:28
in the future I will always go with like the STC 2000 um CU a well insulated van
49:33
unless you're going up to
49:38
uh so uh cat Jung wants a shout out how about that there you go there's your
49:44
shout out um hope I uh pronounce that right but the air toop Evo 40 is uh
49:51
altitude adjusting so you don't have to worry about the air fuel ratio or anything like that it's going to do it automatically uh I forgot to mention
49:58
this has the smart temp 3.0 elasto Bluetooth connection so that when you're
50:03
in bed you wake up in the morning you can adjust your heat in your van uh via Bluetooth via your phone very convenient
50:11
um so you got the heater 120 volt uh breaker circuitry on top of here you
50:17
have six uh you actually have 5 100 amp hour batteries and then behind the
50:22
victron is the six 100 amp hour batteries so you have 600 amp hours of
50:27
lithium iron phosphate that's the Renegy smart lithium uh each one of these batteries is networked together so
50:34
they're all Daisy chained together for communication they're connected to the Bluetooth uh Renegy Hub and that Hub is
50:42
connected to the M1 controller that we showed earlier now what's nice is reny
50:47
came out with this brand new Rigo I know it's hard to see the Rigo word but this
50:53
is their uh Rigo inverter which is their off-grid solution for like off- grid homes and
51:01
stuff like that you can also use it for Vans obviously but the Rigo designation
51:07
uh uh explains that it's a Bluetooth controllable inverter now if you know
51:13
from my other past videos I like to have a dedicated button that turns the inverter on so I do that even though it
51:19
does communicate its uh input and output via Bluetooth to the M1 controller which is up here
51:26
in the van so it communicates to that it'll tell you how much the van is charging discharging all that good stuff
51:32
when you have it plugged into Shore power uh by the way we have a uh furion
51:38
30 amp 125 volt uh Shore power plug on the outside of the van so this also
51:46
comes with a 30 amp to 15 amp converter plug surge
51:52
protector so that surge protector is going to allow you to um safely charge
51:58
this van at a RV location without having to worry about if their power is all screwed up or
52:04
whatnot um yeah so that's the Rego that's going to give us our shore power
52:09
it's going to give us our 3,000 watts of pure sine wave um Power which pure sine
52:15
wave is important you do not want to have a modified sine wave inverter if
52:20
you're in a van modified s wave inverters it'll make your devices work but it's probably going to roast over
52:25
time a modified sine wave has a very Jagged profile not to nerd out too much
52:32
but uh a pure sign wave has a nice flowing sine wave and uh it's clean
52:38
power which a lot of most electronic devices uh
52:44
require um if you're looking at this this is a automatic uh thermostatically
52:50
controlled circuit that operates these fans and it monitors this whole box so
52:58
if there's too much heat from any of these DC todc Chargers heating
53:04
or for whatever reason if the bo this gets too hot on its own uh this is going to at 80° turn on
53:12
and start taking the air out or the heat out so right now we're outside it's 58.7
53:18
de but this will automatically turn on um it actually turns on at 82 not
53:23
80 uh but you can actually get this off of Amazon it looks fancy very hard but
53:29
I'm telling you it's pretty simple um I know I have some type of live streamer video where I did an install of it but
53:36
if you guys are interested in a dedicated one uh I'll make it just uh just let me
53:42
know so we've got our batteries we've got our inverter what else is all this other stuff so these are our uh power
53:50
wires going to our inverter and also our Lucy systems disconnect
53:56
very important for safety in a van uh what's also important for safety we have our Lynx distributor so this is
54:03
the 1,000 DC so uh 1,000 amps is the capacity of this thing and then we've
54:08
got this broken up into four circuits we have our first circuit which is our RTX
54:14
2000 rooftop air conditioner our second circuit is our uh
54:21
inverter uh and our third and our fourth is our combo DC todc mppt solar charge
54:28
controllers from Renegy each one of these is 50 amps so 50 amps of DC to DC
54:34
charging and it will pick between you know if it wants uh solar versus uh
54:41
alternator power on its own it just kind of only does its own thing uh but yeah
54:48
that's also networked to via Bluetooth each one of those is Bluetooth controlled and connect connected to the
54:56
M1 um then last but not least we've got 420 WS of solar on the roof uh you need
55:03
to make sure you have some type of a disconnect box like this you can check out uh explores dolie so Nate from
55:08
explores dolie there a great video on where to get this box how to hook everything up the reason you want to
55:15
have dual disconnects on a solar panel is because in the event of a fault or a
55:21
short it can uh bypass the positive and short over the negative so this uh
55:29
breaker is a dual pole dual throw breaker I think I said that right so
55:36
what what that means is if the positive breaks the negative break so if I hit
55:41
this and it breaks it's breaking the negative and the positive circuit so the whole circuit is disconnected not just
55:48
the positive so for example in a 12vt application if this fuse braks the 12vt
55:55
is broken but the negative is still connected to the vice um that may be pretty obvious but that's that's just
56:01
kind of normal Power uh stuff all right we are wrapping this up
56:09
guys uh we've got the fander moon stuff we showed you earlier this is the back
56:15
of the van it's pouring down rain as you can see so yeah now it's time for
56:21
questions let I'm going to go through the chat here and see what questions you guys had um and then we will get back to
56:30
the show so Show's doing well we actually got despite the rain there's we got a
56:36
bunch of people walking around um but we're going to hop in here and I'm going to shut the door so I can
56:45
uh lock the door I'll get to all the people outside a second but uh let's uh
56:50
let me go through the uh the chat really quick um let's see see if there's any questions and my hands are soaking
56:59
wet all right let's see
57:09
here um let's see here toilet um let's see whoa we got a lot of stuff so I'm
57:15
going to go back to the top so nice work sweet van cool um yeah if you want the
57:22
van you can contact me i' I'd love to I'd love to sell it to you
57:30
um let's see yep the van is for sale um okay let
57:35
me let me put on I'm put the website that you guys that way you guys can get pricing and the options on the van
57:43
because I've got a whole Tech like I've have the whole technical options for the for the transit as
57:49
well um uh very impressive what is
57:57
it are you a Swifty oh jeez
58:04
um Evie Bergland Bergin hopefully I pronounced
58:10
that right hey Cody thanks for checking out
58:16
the stream how do I actually hold on a
58:23
second this live stream I'm trying to actually reply to you guys and there's
58:28
not a box live
58:36
chat chat viewing options all right guys um Odyssey
58:43
custom.com o dys SS y custom vans with an s.com that's where you can check out
58:50
the the pricing and all the the details uh there's more details than I can actually put on this video um uh
58:58
actually if you are that's not true let me go outside and we're going to go through this whole the whole options on
59:04
here because I think this video is pretty much the video that uh we'll tell
59:10
you guys everything about this van that you need to know so at the show here I've got this uh piece of
59:17
paper and um let me shut my door it is pouring down
59:23
rain so we're going to go over options and then uh I'm I got to get back to making
59:31
some talking to some customers and making some videos um okay so let's do
59:36
this really quick so current mileage on this van is 96 miles I have babied this
59:42
van we have trailered it to the shows that we have taken it to so it has not had any type of you know big miles put
59:49
on it um it's a 148 High roof the engine
59:54
is the 3 3.5 L uh Ecoboost V6 and it's the 350 chassis which means it's heavy
1:00:00
duty it's the most heavy duty chassis especially for towing uh all-wheel drive um as well and
1:00:09
again these options on this van are just fantastic it's got a 373 uh limited
1:00:14
slip uh 10-speed transmission that's their new transmission uh side wind
1:00:20
stabilization uh 9,500 lb GVWR engine block heater HD trailer tow package
1:00:26
heater mirrors dual engine batteries um all the you know power
1:00:32
driver seat a venture wagon is the kit that's in there um it's so cool that you guys are
1:00:39
uh from overseas that are watching this video that is that is really awesome
1:00:45
uh complete adventure wagon system the Dual 48 inch overhead cabinets by Flatline vanco the dedic RTX 201 12 volt
1:00:53
ACO e air toop Evo 40 uh the smart temp Cima flip and fold you guys have pretty
1:00:59
much seen all this that bed is the dream foam Essentials by Brooklyn Bedding it is so comfortable uh not sponsored but I
1:01:06
man I love that bed uh and I think that's RV mattress.com is how you can get
1:01:12
that um got the Luma coin lights Max Air white top Adventures is the headliner
1:01:17
shelf so if you guys wanted that shelf white top Adventures is where I got it it does come with a curtain rod but I
1:01:22
did not have that installed uh so question uh will black rhino rims fit on
1:01:29
the transit they will but the offset of the black rhino Wheels uh needs to be taken in consideration because with a
1:01:36
certain offset you're going to be limited to your tire size selection because the offset is going to be more
1:01:43
positive and your tires will rub um so you may need to not get a such a wide
1:01:51
tire um and we can probably talk about that in another stream oh man we got
1:01:56
Ireland awesome heck yeah Netherlands Ireland awesome um Flatline van Co removable and
1:02:04
adjustable bed system that's right the bed system is fully removable it's aluminum fully removable here's some
1:02:11
specs on the offgrid power system 600 amp hours 3,000 W inverter charger furi on Shore
1:02:17
power uh 420 Watts got the Ry M1 controller ptron energy
1:02:25
uh USB Quick Charge two the pop-up 110 Outlets blue
1:02:30
SE system F fuse panel then the kitchen Galley uh all these components Flatline vanco uh I just really love them again
1:02:37
not sponsored they're just good quality the 41in main Galley 24in secondary Galley rava sink I them Cruise
1:02:45
130 uh got the D Duck top portable induction
1:02:51
stove um and as I'm reading this guys you're you're free to ask ask any questions you want uh van related and
1:02:57
then look at the water capacity we got 40 gallons of fresh water 4 gallons of hot water seven gallons of gray uh gray
1:03:05
for the sink upgradeable to 14 and then 16 gallons of an undermount gray water tank for the hidden shower or the Tetra
1:03:11
van hidden shower uh so that 16 gallons is separate from the sink so it's a
1:03:16
separate tank uh Tetra van hidden shower Thetford
1:03:21
bortot 365 uh again that exterior shower is on its way and uh you know safety just
1:03:29
standard smoke CO2 fire extinguisher stuff like that all right bam Odyssey custom vans
1:03:37
guys what else do we have here um do we want to take a walk in the rain
1:03:46
I don't have an umbrella but uh maybe we can do a little walk here in a
1:03:53
second um um so I tell you what I'm going to do I'm going to keep this video
1:03:59
just the video on this Ford Transit Adventure van build that we have here oh
1:04:04
yeah I did not show you guys the front of the van we've got the European Transit Trail straight from Grease grill
1:04:12
that we have install um we also upgraded the lights
1:04:18
to their yellow fog lights but yeah that's that's a true Ford Transit trail
1:04:24
from Europe so you guys over there should be impressed by that and then we've got a rigid Industries scene light
1:04:33
in an amber color because it's very nice at night time yeah but guys thanks so much uh for
1:04:41
